TikTok gifter levels explained: the grade badge
Updated September 29, 2026
Next to many gifters' names on TikTok you see a coloured badge with a number. That is the account's global gifter grade. Here is what it is, what it is not, and how Toktik shows it next to its observed-diamond whale rankings.
The coins every level from 1 to 50 takes: level chart and checkerThe global gifter grade: levels 1 to 50
TikTok assigns accounts a global gifter grade, shown as a badge with the level number. The grade runs from level 1 to level 50. The badge art changes in bands of about five levels, and its colour ramps from blue toward violet as the grade rises.
The grade belongs to the account, not to any one creator's room: the same gifter carries the same grade wherever they appear.
Grade vs. fan level: two different numbers
It is easy to mix up the grade with TikTok's fan badge. The fan (community) level is a separate badge reflecting a viewer's standing as a fan; the gifter grade is the account's gifting grade. They are different numbers on different badges, so a gifter can carry a high fan level and a quite different grade. On its gifter boards Toktik shows the global grade, not the fan level.
How Toktik shows it
Toktik reads each ranked gifter's global grade from TikTok and shows it as the same badge in the app — on the gifter boards, the gifter drill-in and per-creator gifter panels for signed-in members. The public whale ranking pages focus on observed diamonds. The grade fills in over time, so a gifter who has not been looked up yet has no badge, and some accounts hide their grade. No badge never means level 0.
The whale rankings themselves are ordered by observed diamonds, not by grade. The badge is context that sits next to the ordering.
- Ordering: observed diamonds over the LIVE rooms Toktik watches — a lower bound on activity.
- Badge: TikTok's own global grade, shown as reported, when available.
- Together: a high grade beside large observed diamonds is worth a closer look; either alone tells you less.
What Toktik does not claim
TikTok does not show the full coin ladder in the app. Toktik's gifter level tool lists the coins each level takes as publicly reported, and says so, because TikTok can change them. Toktik never converts a person's level into what they spent: a grade is a signal TikTok assigns, not a measurement Toktik derived.
Grades are shown as TikTok reports them and fill in over time. A missing badge is a coverage gap or a hidden grade, not a low level.
Frequently asked questions
What is the highest TikTok gifter level?
Toktik shows global gifter grades from level 1 to level 50; the badge art changes in bands of about five levels.
Is the gifter level the same as a fan level?
No. The fan (community) level is a separate badge. The global gifter grade is a different number on a different badge, and it is account-wide: it appears wherever the gifter does.
Why does a gifter on Toktik have no level badge?
Grades are looked up over time, so a gifter who has not been checked yet shows no badge, and some accounts hide their grade. No badge is not level 0.
Does a higher grade mean a gifter spent more?
Roughly: a level means the account has gifted at least that level's threshold — the coin ladder is in Toktik's gifter level tool (publicly reported figures). Toktik never shows a person's spend; its whale rankings are ordered by observed diamonds over watched rooms, a lower bound on activity.
How are Toktik's gifter rankings ordered?
By the diamonds Toktik observed each gifter send across the LIVE rooms it watches in the window. The grade badge is shown beside the name as context and does not affect the order.
Is the grade Toktik's own score?
No. It is TikTok's global grade, displayed as TikTok reports it. Toktik is independent and not affiliated with TikTok.
