Look up & vet any account
4:15 walkthrough
Paste an @handle or profile URL and Lookup resolves the account on demand: an engagement & cadence analysis built only from observed videos, the video history, follow network and observed identity changes. A free tier is included on every plan.
What you'll learn
- Resolve a handle on demand, and reuse coverage results for free
- Read the engagement & cadence analysis (observed data, no estimates)
- Review video history, followers and identity changes
- Understand the hourly lookup allowance
How it works
Enter a handle in the Lookup box
On the Lookup page, paste an @handle or a tiktok.com/@username link into the "Look up any TikTok account" box. The dropdown pins "Look up @handle on TikTok" first and says it spends 1 free lookup. Accounts under "Already in coverage - free" and "Opened recently" cost nothing.
Check the allowance meter
The meter at the top right shows lookups remaining out of your limit and the time it resets. Free lookups are 10 distinct profiles per hour signed out, or 20 when signed in. A profile counts once, so opening its tabs afterwards does not use another lookup.
Read Overview, Analysis and Videos
Overview shows followers over time (a line needs at least two observations) and a "What we observed" panel with First recorded, Last refreshed and Videos collected. Analysis shows engagement rate, average views per video, posts per week and follower change, plus a panel called "What this report does not cover". Videos lists the videos Toktik holds for the account.
Open Following, Followers and Changes
Following and Followers list accounts collected from TikTok, with filters that only apply to the entries loaded so far. Changes is a timeline of observed handle, display name, avatar, bio, region and verification changes, grouped by month. An empty timeline means none were observed, not that none happened.
The Analysis is built from observed videos with no estimates or peer benchmarks — use it to judge fit, not as a guaranteed metric.
Frequently asked questions
Is TikTok profile lookup free?
Yes, with a limit. Free lookups cover 10 distinct profiles per hour signed out or 20 per hour signed in, and the returned profile is never masked. Signing in only raises the allowance; a meter on the page shows what is left and when it resets.
Do the tabs on a profile use up more lookups?
No. A lookup is counted once per distinct profile, so opening Analysis, Videos, Followers or Changes on the same account does not spend another. Accounts already in Toktik's coverage, and ones you opened recently, do not spend a lookup either.
Can I see an account's complete follower list?
No. The Followers tab is always a sample of the most recently observed followers, shown as a count such as collected of reported, because TikTok streams the list newest-first with no declared end. If an account hides its following list, Toktik shows that TikTok reports it as private.
How reliable is the engagement analysis for a TikTok account?
It is built only from the videos Toktik has observed, with no estimates and no peer benchmarks. Use it to judge fit, and read the "What this report does not cover" note and the share-of-catalog chip to see how much of the account it reflects.
