Comparison
Toktik vs tik.tools: which TikTok LIVE API fits
tik.tools and Toktik both sell access to TikTok LIVE data through an API, but they are built around different jobs. This is a side-by-side using only what each publishes. We make Toktik, so read this with that in mind. Everything said about the other tool comes from its own public pages, listed under Sources with the date we read them; we have not tested its data, speed or uptime and do not claim anything about them.

| Aspect | Toktik | tik.tools |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A hosted dataset: observed ranking boards with history, gifter boards, an agency directory copied from TikTok's catalog, gift prices and account lookup, behind a REST and realtime API. | A TikTok LIVE API built around realtime WebSocket events (chat, gifts, likes, follows, viewer counts), with SDKs, webhooks, leaderboards and agency scouting tools. |
| How it bills | Monthly plans on a prepaid credit wallet. Hard caps: usage stops at the limit instead of running up an invoice. | Weekly plans (Basic, Pro, Ultra, Agency) with hard daily request caps and no overage fees. Its Agency plan page also gives a monthly price. |
| Free tier | Free with no card: 5,000 requests a day, masked leaderboards, 7-day history. | Sandbox: free for a 7-day evaluation, 5,000 requests a day. |
| Cheapest Live-module plan | $15 a month (Live, Starter tier). | $7 a week (Basic). |
| Agency plan | $249 a month for the Live module ($279 for the Bundle), 10 seats. | $119 a week, or $399 a month on its monthly option; 5 seats. |
| Realtime events | A WebSocket stream of gifts, joins and battle updates. A free key can hold 1 connection and 100 room-minutes a month; paid tiers raise both. | Listed first among its products, with a WebSocket connection allowance of 20 (Basic) to 500 (Agency) on its pricing page. |
| SDKs | Official JavaScript/TypeScript and Python SDKs. | Typed clients for Node.js/TypeScript and Python. |
| Unmasked leaderboards | Leaderboards fully unmasked from the Pro tier. | An unmasked leaderboard API from the Pro plan. |
| Rankings coverage | Region by region on the methodology page, including gaps. | 28 regions, as stated on its agency page. |
| Agency directory | Copied from TikTok's agency catalog, with each agency's published profile; Toktik does not rate or verify agencies. | A directory page where agencies can list themselves for free and users can message them; signed-out visitors see only a few listings. |
| Signed-host tracking | On the Agency plan, a Roster tab for the hosts you sign: the diamonds Toktik observed over 7, 30 or 90 days, followers and League standing, a health band per host (Healthy, Watch, At risk) with the reasons, host alerts checked once per closed UTC day, and a commission estimate from the % you type, labelled as a minimum. Health needs about three weeks of history. | Its agency page lists real usernames, bulk copy, a new-creators finder, top-gifter intelligence, scout alerts and an agency dashboard. It lists no roster or host-health feature. |
| Relationship with TikTok | Independent, not affiliated. | Describes itself as an independent third-party platform. |
The short version
If your main job is reacting to what happens inside a LIVE as it happens — an overlay, a chat bot, an alert — tik.tools leads with realtime events and lists large WebSocket connection allowances on its higher plans. If your main job is reading and citing rankings, gifter boards, agency data and history, Toktik is built for that. Many teams need both kinds of data, and nothing here stops you from using both.
Billing is not like for like
tik.tools bills weekly with daily request caps; Toktik bills monthly with a prepaid credit wallet and monthly credit allowances. The two models spend differently, so a single price comparison can mislead. We deliberately do not convert weekly prices into monthly ones: where tik.tools publishes a monthly price we quote it, and otherwise we show the price as it states it. The way to compare cost is to estimate your own requests and events per day, then check each pricing page.
Choose tik.tools if
- Realtime LIVE events are the product you are building, and you want many WebSocket connections.
- You prefer weekly billing and a daily request cap you can see at a glance.
- You want the Discord and Telegram alert options it lists for agencies.
Choose Toktik if
- You need ranking and gifter boards with their capture dates, history and stated coverage.
- You want the TikTok agency directory, gift price pages and account lookup alongside rankings.
- You manage signed hosts and want a roster with observed diamonds, health reasons and host alerts (Agency plan).
- You prefer monthly plans on a prepaid wallet with hard caps.
What we did not compare
Data accuracy, latency, completeness and uptime. We have not tested the other service, and a claim either way without a test would be marketing. If these matter to you, run both on the same room for a day and compare.

Frequently asked questions
Is tik.tools cheaper than Toktik?
It depends on your workload. tik.tools bills weekly with daily request caps and Toktik bills monthly with a credit wallet, so the same usage is priced differently. Estimate your own requests per day and compare both pricing pages instead of comparing headline numbers.
Do either of them use an official TikTok API?
tik.tools describes itself as an independent third-party platform that is not affiliated with TikTok. Toktik is likewise independent and serves the public data it observes. Neither is affiliated with TikTok, and we are not aware of an official TikTok API for LIVE rankings or gifter boards.
Which is better for a chat bot or stream overlay?
tik.tools leads with realtime events and lists large WebSocket allowances on its higher plans. Toktik offers a realtime stream too, with the caps shown on its pricing page. Check the connection limits against what your bot needs.
Which is better for an agency?
Both publish an agency plan. They differ in what is included: seats, alerts, gifter boards, a directory and, on Toktik, a Roster for signed hosts with health and host alerts. Compare the plan pages against your roster size and the data you need.
Can I use both?
Yes. They are independent services and nothing prevents combining realtime events from one with rankings and history from the other.
